This information-packed workshop with Denis Madeleine will demonstrate how to plan your garden to produce an abundance of food throughout the year in our tropical climate with tips on crop rotation & companion planting. It is aimed at people who want to grow food in small to medium sized yards (or community garden plot) to feed their family rather than for any commercial application.
What You Will Learn:
- What’s Organic Gardening?
- Designing your garden layout
- Microbial nature of soil, compost, mulches & aerated compost teas
- Setting up a watering system
- Companion & Crop Rotation
- Building your vegetable beds: No-dig method & Digging method
- Integrated Pest Management
Practical session: We will be building a vegetable garden bed and a hot composting system.

Terms & Conditions:
Registration and payment are required to confirm your place and must be received before workshop commence
Workshop is run subject to demand. If there are insufficient numbers, workshop may be cancelled or deferred and all registered attendees will be notified by phone and email
Cancellation of registration 30 days prior to the scheduled workshop date will be refunded but may incur a small processing fee. Cancellations more than two weeks before the workshop will be refunded 50% of the total paid registration fee- cancellations must be in writing via email - cancellations within the two week period are non refundable.
